With 24-hours of purchase students will receive access to our full curriculum including online modules, testing link and in person skills demonstration self scheduling link. upon successful completion of this renewal course which requires completion of all online learning modules, passing the post-course examination, and successfully completing the required in-person skills demonstration. Once all course requirements have been met, renewals will be entered into the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Medication Administration Information System (MAIS), typically within 24 hours of successful course completion.

In person skills demonstrations are held every Friday!

Certification 1 – Focuses on administering oral, topical, and inhaled medications, along with documentation and basic safety procedures.

Course Description: Provide required instructional class time and skill training for DD personnels on how to safely administer oral and topical medications and perform (13) health related activities.

Price: $150/per student

Date: August 19, 2026- August 20, 2026 (This is a two day course)

Time: 8:00am-3:30pm

Eligibility requirements:

1. Application

2.High school diploma or GED

3. At least 18 years of age

4.Be able to read, write and understand English (at the level sufficient to comply with all requirements)

5. Completed criminal background check

6. IP number or be currently employed by a DODD agency

Certification 2 – Provides training on administering medications through gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes.

• Hold a current DODD Medication Administration Certification 1.

• Be a certified independent provider or certified provider direct service staff.

Course completion requirements:

• Attend the entire 4-hour session

• Participate in all activities and discussions

• Submit course evaluation

• Score 80% or higher on a closed-book written exam

• Successfully complete return demonstrations for:

1. Medication administration via G/J tube

2. Nutritional supplement administration via G/J tube

3. Site care and maintenance of G/J tube

This four-hour training is designed to prepare unlicensed DD personnel to administer subcutaneous insulin injections (via syringe or pen) and related medications used to treat metabolic or glycemic disorders—including glucagon—under the delegation of a licensed nurse.
